Edward (Ned) J. Dowd
Ned is a trial lawyer with significant experience in the defense of a variety of litigation
including insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes, employer liability, police misconduct,
and premises liability. He maintains a busy caseload representing individual clients,
insurance companies, businesses, and municipalities in a broad range of disputes in both
state and federal court.
Ned graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1983. He also has an undergraduate
degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and New
York. He is also admitted to practice before United States District Courts for both the
Southern District and Northern District of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the
United States Supreme Court. Early in his career, he served as an Assistant Attorney General
with the State of Ohio. Ned has obtained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
